August's Book

"Calvin Cobb, Radio Woodworker!" by Roy Underhill is the perfect August read, unlike some of the other titles where I would recommend reading/building along in the shop, or some that fit reading in the backyard as the spring leaves start to bloom, Calvin Cobb is vacation read. It's increasingly exciting and incredibly descriptive chapters fly by with undivided attention.
Places I recommend reading this book:
In a park on a blanket, preferably not too close to a volleyball net
Sitting on the side of a pool with just your feet in the water
The deck of a cruise ship, bonus points if it's a steamship
At a picnic table with an ice cream cone
On a blanket at the beach, see 1. for distance from volleyball net
No matter how you choose to consume the book it is guaranteed to be the most exciting woodworking book we will read this year.
