This book is the reason I started the book club, full stop. I wanted to explore the connection between woodworking and woodworkers, gaining insight into their inspiration and techniques. Gary Rogowski is one of the best at letting us into those processes. In addition to his work as a furniture maker, teacher, and author, he will be joining us to discuss his book, for which I am incredibly grateful.

Gary is the Director at The Northwest Woodworking Studio in Lyle, WA, where he has offered instruction to woodworkers for over 25 years, including his online mastery programs, which are very highly regarded. I added a couple of pieces from his website to this blog, but do yourself a favor and check out his full portfolio here:

Gary also hosts a podcast called Splinters, which discusses woodworking and design and answers questions from woodworkers. If you check it out, you might recognize a fellow bookworm in the latest episode.

As always, the meeting will be held on the first Sunday of every month; this meeting will take place on Sunday, June 1st, at 6:00 PM EST. Always held on Discord at the link below, and be sure to join in the conversation anytime on the text channels.
